National Camping and Caravanning Week (30th May – 5th June)

The forthcoming bank holiday weekend marks the start of National Camping and Caravanning Week. Run by the Camping and Caravanning Club, the week is their annual celebration of camping, caravanning and the great outdoors.

At Yorkshire Holiday Parks we welcome tents and tourers on to both our sites – Weir Holiday Park and Allerton Holiday Park. We of course also offer accommodation in holiday homes.

This year’s National Camping and Caravanning Week is encouraging parents to get the kids outdoors with camping. We are a family friendly site and welcome children – and getting them outdoors is all part of the fun of a camping trip. We have colouring pages of wildlife available for kids and these show the wildlife that they may see at one of our holiday parks. The Camping and Caravanning Club has also issued a downloadable activity pack that includes 50 things that kids can do outside. The activity pack is a great resource for any family going camping or caravanning with the kids (or grandkids) so here’s the link for you to use: Camping and Caravanning Activity Pack.

Let us know what activities your children like doing at our parks!
