Allerton Park is part of Yorkshire Holiday Parks.
There are three parks in the Yorkshire Holiday Parks group, and one of these is Allerton Park. Allerton Park is set against the backdrop of Allerton Castle. This woodland retreat offers a quiet space to enjoy, while having the convenience of being only a short drive from the A1. With its ideal location close to a major road, access to the rest of North Yorkshire is very easy.
The nearest town is Knaresborough, with its picturesque viaduct over the river, with Mother Shipton’s Cave at one side and the town on the other.
A little further on is the historic town of Harrogate, famous for its spa waters and, of course, Betty’s Tea Rooms. With independent shops and national chains, Harrogate is ideal for shopping too.
If you need more shops, places to eat and things to see, then the historic city of York is in the other direction, with good park-and-ride facilities to make getting into the city easy.
With so much to explore, many people find that they make Allerton Park their base for a holiday home. The park is open for 11 months of the year, making it a great location to enjoy for most of the year.
