With the festive season now upon us, York is buzzing, the streets are shops are decorated and the Christmas Market with it’s Alpine Chalets line the main streets until 22 December. The Shambles is a great place for those who love Harry Potter with it’s themed shops.

Allerton Park, which is also close to Knaresborough and Harrogate is ideal for York as you can use the park and ride and then escape back to this tranquil, woodland retreat after a busy day enjoying the festive fun. You also have the advantage of being close to Knaresborough and Harrogate which are delightful to visit at this time of year.
Or you can choose, Cawood Park, not too far from Selby and only 15 minutes to the Park and Ride for York. At this time of year we strongly recommend using the park and ride for York as the city car parks are busy and if you don’t known the city with the increased traffic it can take a long time to find a space. At Cawood Park you also have the choice of touring pitches or one of the holiday homes, on a weekend you have the bar with entertainment and you can dine in the restaurant, or even use the indoor pool.
