Allerton Park, the place to stay this festive season

Allerton Caravan Park is the perfect location to explore and enjoy the festive spirit of North Yorkshire. Just off the A1 on the A59 towards York you will see the lovely Allerton Castle and Allerton Caravan Park is set with the castle as it’s backdrop. You will often find wedding parties staying at our lodges. As you enter the park you will see the lodges we have to hire and just after that the wardens office. Allerton Caravan Park is split into sections with lodge hires, holiday home owners and then the touring section. Although a few rentals are scattered around the park.

This woodland park is a haven for wildlife and has received the David Bellamy Conservation Award. Open 11 months of the year this park is ideally location for exploring the area. Knaresborough is just a short drive away with it’s Mother Shipton’s Cave, lovely river walk and several bars and eateries. Just a little further on is Harrogate with it’s famous Betty’s Tea Rooms, Spa and sophisticated shops and if you want to treat yourselves the famous Ivy Restaurant is now there along with other great bars and restaurants. The Park and Ride to York is on the A59 and takes away the stress of parking in York and this time of year York is twinkly with it’s Christmas lights and there is so much to do in York, including with it’s wide range of activities and museums. Many visitors to the park this time of year take the short drive to Stockeld Park to see their Christmas Illuminations and winter activities for you explore Brimham Rocks.
