Whether you are looking for inspiration for your garden, or just enjoy walking through acres of beautiful flowers, there are some of Yorkshire’s finest gardens close-by. We love Sledmere House & Gardens, Stillingfleet Gardens and Nurseries, and Castle Howard.
Natural Landscapes
We are blessed to be surrounded by some of the best landscapes in the world, though may be we are a little biased! Situated within a 10 minute drive of the Yorkshire Wolds, 30 minutes from the North York Moors; and just 45 minutes to the beautiful Yorkshire Coast. You’ll be spoilt for choice on places to go and things to see.
City Life
Weir Holiday Park is just 8 miles from the historic walled City of York – with the buzzing markets, museums, theatres and galleries. There’s plenty to see and do – with lots of lovely boutique and high street shops to enjoy. We are also well positioned for getting to Hull – with its cobbled streets, marina, museums and bustling nightlife. Hull is also home to The Deep – one of the most spectacular aquariums in the world. Weir Holiday Park is also well located for getting to Leeds – with its shopping quarter, cultural nightlife and historic architecture.
Market Towns
If you’re looking to enjoy browsing local shops, tasting local food and taking things at an altogether slower pace than a big city, the market towns of Pocklington and Market Weighton are close by. With an eclectic selection of shops and artisan cafes you’ll loose yourself for a day!
Family Activities
Choose from simple pleasures such as fruit picking at The Balloon Tree – a mile or so from the Holiday Park – to all day adventures at York Maze.
